01 | Clear your browser's saved data |
Symptom: pages load blank or half-formed, buttons don't respond, you're signed out repeatedly, or you keep seeing old information after something changed.

Your browser saves copies of pages to load them faster. When a site updates, those saved copies can be stale — which produces exactly these symptoms. Clearing them fixes a surprising share of portal problems.
Try this first
Before clearing anything, open your portal in a private or incognito window. Private windows ignore saved data.
If it works there, saved data is your problem — carry on below. If it doesn't, the cause is something else; see Sign-in problems.
How to clear it
The wording differs by browser, but the path is the same everywhere: Settings → Privacy → clear browsing data. Choose cached images and files and cookies, then confirm.
Chrome (computer): menu (⋮) → Delete browsing data Chrome (phone or tablet): menu (⋮) → Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data Safari (Mac): Safari menu → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data Safari (iPhone or iPad): Settings app → Apps → Safari → Clear History and Website Data Edge: menu (…) → Settings → Privacy, search and services → Clear browsing data Firefox: menu (☰) → Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
If a menu doesn't look like this, your browser has updated — the wording moves between versions. Search your browser's settings for "clear browsing data" and you'll find it.
Clearing cookies signs you out of websites, including ones unrelated to your application. Have your passwords to hand, or clear data for your portal only if your browser offers that.
You don't need to clear saved passwords or your history to fix this.
Then
1 | Close the browser completely — every window, not just the tab. |
2 | Reopen it and go to your portal. |
3 | Sign in again. |
If it still doesn't work
Still stuck
Use the contact details on your portal to get in touch.
Tell them which browser and device you're using, what you were trying to do, and whether it works in a private window. Those three things narrow it down immediately.
