If you're attempting to save your markups within Bluebeam and are receiving the following error message, please see the solution below.
You may be receiving this error because of the way a PDF file was exported from AutoCAD. If the file was exported with SHX annotations turned on, some files may be generated that contain thousands of SHX annotations and can cause your markup layer to be excessively large and complex.
Start by opening up the markups list from within Bluebeam. If you see hundreds or thousands of markups that were authored by "AutoCAD SHC Text", you have a couple of options:
- Decline the submittal package and ask the applicant or designer to resubmit their drawings following these instructions: https://support.idtplans.com/kb/a53/export-from-autocad-without-shx-annotations.aspx
- You may elect to flatten the markups by selecting the document(s) and then clicking "More... > Flatten Bluebeam Markups" from the project page.
Once the SHX annotations have been either removed or flattened, your markups should save appropriately.
Please contact support if you continue to experience any difficulty.
