Applicants are only able to apply for applications types that are marked as published. All others will remain hidden and therefore, non-selectable by the applicant.
There are times - especially when you have a process designed to follow a specific sequence - that an applicant may need to jump into that process at a point other than your standard start. Below are the steps for granting this access to the applicant.
Creating the Application
- The Project Administrator will need to log on to the portal and, acting as an applicant, submit a new project for review by clicking on the Submit Application button on the home page.
- From the Application Type drop down menu, the Project Administrator should choose the application that represents the point the process where the applicant needs to start (or pick up their existing project).
- The Project Administrator should enter the Project Name and click on Save and Continue.
- At this point, the Project Administrator may exit the project application process.
Accessing the Application and Inviting the Applicant
- Returning to the home page of the portal and at the top menu, select Plan Review > My Submittals.
- Navigate in the list to the project that was created above and click on the project name hyperlink (listed under Project Title on the left side of the listings).
- Once the project page loads, go to Project Actions > Invite Contacts
- A new window will pop up. Be sure to grant Applicant permissions under the Permission Template and invite the contact using the email message below the permission template section.
Changing the Primary Applicant
- Once the applicant receives the email, they can complete the application and submit.
- However, the Project Administrator will still be listed as the Applicant.
- To update the applicant:
- Open the Project Page and go to Project Actions > Plan Review
- Scroll down to Applicant and select the correct applicant's name from the drop down menu.
You may now complete the intake review process for this project and assign it to the appropriate review team.
