Ordering Licenses

Upon placing your Bluebeam license order, you should receive an email in the next 24-48 hours from registration@bluebeamops.com with your license information. If you do not see an email within that time frame, please check your SPAM and JUNK folders to ensure delivery was not filtered. 

If no email is present, please contact us immediately so we may assist you. Note that emails will only be delivered to the contact email provided by your organization.

 

When you receive your email from Bluebeam please forward it to Diann Fresa in our Business Office (diann.fresa@idtplans.com) so that she may log the Serial Number of your licenses to expedite future license orders and maintenance renewals.

 

Installing and Registering Bluebeam Revu

Once you have received your license information, you may begin the installation and registration process for the appropriate team members using the link in your email from Bluebeam.

 

If you have downloaded the Bluebeam Standard trial, you can simply skip ahead to the Product Activation step of this process. If you have not downloaded a trial, Bluebeam should provide installation instructions with their license keys. Please follow these steps.

 

Note: Standard Bluebeam licenses are perpetual licenses, good for one workstation. This means that any user who needs the ability to mark up plans should have a license made available to them (either through an installation on their system, or at a system accessible to them).

 

Importing the idtPlans User Profile

Be sure to download and install the idtPlans User Profile prior to any training sessions. This will ensure all tools and features are available and in the same place for training purposes.

 

How to Import the idtPlans User Profile

  1. Download the profile.
  2. Open Bluebeam and go to Revu (listed in the top menu) and select Profiles:
  3. Click on Manage Profiles. A new window will open; click on Import.
  4. Navigate to where you have saved the idtPlans User Profile (.bpx file), select it, and click open.
  5. Once added, return to Revu > Profiles and select idtPlans from the drop-down list.

 

As an important note: If you open the .bpx file and it contains seemingly random text, please exit out of the screen and web browser you are using and try again with a different browser.

 

Importing and Managing Toolsets

For a standard implementation, idtPlans will provide your organization with a standardized, color-coded tool set for each discipline. It is important that users import or add these toolsets into their Bluebeam profile prior to training. 

Toolsets provided by idtPlans should not be modified. Instructions for managing toolsets are available on the Bluebeam Support Page.

 

Users completing their plan review in Blubeam should limit themselves to the following text comment types only (provided in the toolsets provided by idtPlans):

  • Text Box
  • Cloud Callout
  • Standard Callout

Please note that Bluebeam’s support system is first-class and many items you may need guidance on will be available through their support page. In addition, a large number of users across the world have put together quick how-to videos and posted them for other users.
