How to Conduct an Inspection

1. From the dashboard, Click on Begin Inspection.



2. If your checklist includes specific items that should be passed or failed, click on the item itself to log an outcome. You can:

  1. Add Comments
  1. Photos using your mobile device camera
  2. Pre-written comments from a library of comments
  3. On site comments specific to the project
  1. Log the outcome
  1. Pass
  2. Conditional Pass
  3. Fail
  4. Note that you do not need to log an outcome in order to move forward.




3. If your checklist includes generic fields for mass data gathering, just click on the field to log your outcome as noted above.



4. Once all items are addressed, you will need to log an overall outcome. Your options are:

  1. Pass
  1. This is a standard pass outcome. Selecting it will mark the Insepction as approved, with no formal further actions required.
  2. Once logged, you can opt to send the inspection report email as is, edit it or do not sent it.
  3. Once completed, YOU MUST RETURN TO THE INSPECTION DASHBOARD IN ORDER TO START A NEW INSPECTION. Failure to do so may result in syncing issues.
  1. Partial Pass
  1. This is an outcome in which you might log a portion of the reviewed area as passed, but that overall additional inspections will be required.
  2. Upon Partial Pass selection, you will be prompted to add notes and set a follow-up date.
  3. The inspection can be set to automatically be added back to your dashboard with the new date or placed back in the overview for any inspector to take.
  4. Notes will be listed at the top of the inspection for reference for the next inspection.
  5. There is no limit to the number of partial passes on any given project.
  6. Once logged, you can opt to send the inspection report email as is, edit it, or do not send it.
  7. Once completed, you must return to the inspection dashboard in order to start a new inspection. Failure to do so may result in syncing issues.
  1. Conditional Pass
  1. This is a conditional pass outcome. Selecting it will mark the inspection as approved, with no formal further action required.
  2. Once logged, you can opt to send the inspection report email as is, edit it, or do not send it.
  3. Once completed, you must return to the inspection dashboard in order to start a new inspection. Failure to do so may result in syncing issues.
  1. Fail
  1. This is a standard fail outcome. Selecting it will mark the inspection as failed and needing to be conducted again.
  2. Once logged, you can opt to send the inspection report email as is, edit it, or do not send it.
  3. Once completed, you must return to the inspection dashboard in order to start a new inspection. Failure to do so may result in syncing issues.
  4. A re-inspection fee may be assessed (these fees can be waived by the inspector or administrator if warranted)
  5. A black out period for return inspection may also be applied (e.g., 72 hours before reinspection)
  6. It is up to the inspection requestor to re-request the inspection and pay any fees in order to get back on the inspection overview.
