How to Issue a Permit

1. Verify that all details are correct and click on “Issue Permit” on the top right of the screen.


2. If there are office entry fields required for the permit, you will be router first to those fields. Fill them out and then hit submit to get to the permit issuance page. (Note: this may not apply to all permits and in most cases, you will be routed directly to the permit issuance page.

3. The only item that requires action on this page is the Withhold Until field at the top of the page. Your options are noted below.

  1. Review Approve and All fees paid: This will place a lock on the document and essentially hide it from the issue to contact until both milestones (Fees paid, Plan review approved) are met. It will automatically unlock the document when this happens, no action will be required from you as a user.
  2. Release Immediately: This will make the permit document available to the issue contact immediately


4. Hit confirm and return to the project detail page. From here, you can view the pdf of your permit, and see all permit details.


5.  Click on the “Return to Project” button at the top right of the page and navigate to permits using the left side menu. You will now see the permit has been issued and has a sequential permit number.
