Overview of The New Tasks Feature
Create Task is an optional action available within Workflow Automations.
When a task would support the process, your team can create a reusable Task Template, select it within an automation, and assign the task to an individual or group.
To access Task Templates, select the Plan Review icon from the navigation menu at the top of your portal. Then, scroll to the bottom of the Configuration column and select Task Templates.
Give your Task Template a name and provide a description. You can also assign the task to an individual or group, add a due date, and set its priority.
Once you have submitted and saved your new Task Template, reopen it to add any forms or checklists that should be included with the task. You can also configure additional automations specifically for the task itself.
When it is appropriate to add the task to a Workflow Automation, select + Step within the automation, choose Create Task, and then select the Task Template you want to include.
When the automation runs and a task is assigned, the individual—or each member of the assigned group—receives a notification through their Task Alerts, which displays next to their log-in at the top right of the portal screen regardless of what screen they are on.
